Long story cut short attempt.........

In May by partner had an operation on his wrist that, as a HGV driver, left him out of work for 12 weeks while it healed. Therefore no money coming in, he is the sole wage earner. We had a holiday booked for August but cancelled as we could obviously not afford it. In June we moved house, and have today and a massive load of mail through that was redirected from our old house. Amongst the pile, in the time since we moved, it seems the holiday company have taken me to court and out a CCJ against my name for the full deposit amount (250) as we were on a low deposit deal for the holiday. As we cancelled in plenty of time, and was not aware of this clause, I did not let the holiday company know I had moved, I saw no reason to. And now the paperwork says I have until 26th (tomorrow) to pay! I have missed my chance to appeal or even explain my financial circumstances as I was not aware the court hearing was even taking place. I cannot get hold of anyone at the court and am desperate need of advice as to what I can do. I cannot afford to pay this amount outright.

Any advice gratefully received.
