Pre-Recruitment Health Check Question?

I am already aware that there are DWP Employment List threads. However, my question is slightly different and would like anyone who has experienced this or who has knowledge to help me please! I am starting to panic.
As some on here may already know, I applied for an AO post with DWP which I was successful. I was told that they would be conducting the pre-recruitment checks and I will be contacted to be told if they were able to offer me a post.
Well, I just had a call from some company (cannot remember their name) which was on the behalf of DWP and said they would need to arrange a nurse to call me to do an assessment which is tomorrow at 11.20am.
I have not heard ANYONE saying they have had this done before. I'm guessing it is because on my Health Declaration form I said I had suffered from post-natal depression from Nov 08 until around April 09. It wasn't severe and I was offered anti-depressants by my doctor but I refused them. As my circumstances changed and my little one started to become more independent I sort of 'snapped out of it'.
I am now worried that this may go against me! Maybe I'm overreacting but can anyone help shed some light on whether this would or not please?
Thanking you in advance!

I don't know about the DWP specifically, but it's normal procedure for someone to be contacted if they need further info.
I've seen cases of people on anti-depressants, with ulcers, back pain etc having to give more info.
They want to make sure you are fit to work and are not going to be off sick long-term because of your condition.
As long as they are satisfied that your depression was temporary and you are now well and able to work, you'll be fine.
Good luck!0 -

Hi,
Thank you so much!
You was right. She just needed to make sure that I was 'fit to work' as you said.
The Nurse who called me was very nice and said everything I told her would be confidential, she just needed to write back to them stating whether she thought I would be ok or not.
I explained to her my situation and told her I had stopped feeling that way over 7 months ago. It was just a one-off as I had just had a baby and the breast feeding left me constantly drained. She was very understanding and just warned me that working full time can be very draining too.
She said she was satisfied that I am able to work and said she would get back to them with this information.
Thank you once again! I was panicking!
