Case closed or Liablity ends

Hi, There is a recent thread on here which has made me think, ok, has anyone had a case closed letter as opposed to a liablity ends letter, my ex has never been on income support AFAIK, yet I had a liablity ends letter 2 months ago and CS has now stopped, but thats it, no actual case closed, finito letter.
I've always paid and in a "trackable/traceable" job and I'am wondering, having suffered for well over a decade at there hands if they are concocting some fictious arrears. or am i getting paranoid.

Hi Mick, I don't wish to feed your paranoia & I can't give you a definite answer to your question.
However, on a thread some time ago, it was stated that cases that have finished can remain on file for a number of years afterwards. Although no-one could give a definite time limit, I guess starting with the statute of limitations time limit of 6 years may not be far away.
Perhaps that is what happens: liability ends on 01/01/10 & case closed on 01/01/16? - Just a guess!!!!!!!!Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. Debt at highest approx £102,000. Debt now (October 2009 - absolutely fork all!!!):beer:
CSA case closed on 02/09/10 :beer::beer:0 -
