Endowment advice please.

I would like some advice regarding my endowment, please.

The details are:

Commenced 1991
Terminates 2016
Current Monthly Payments £55.12
Current Surrender Value to the endowment co. £8,931.00

The life assurance for my now ex-husband (of 8 years) and for myself is still active, as when it was first set up.

The question is, what should I do with it?
Struggle on with the payments?
Sell it?
Freeze the payments for 12 months in the hope that I find work to pay the whole year back?

Any advice would be welcome.

Many thanks.
