thanks for your reply kimitats, i feel the next step will have to be an ICE, as I totally still disagree with what they are saying the PWC has had over £500 per mth from us over the last five years so therefore has never been out of pocket in fact they are living the high life in a brand new house and travelling to flordia 4 times year (grandma still has some contact) so we can safely say that the child has not suffered unlike my daughters. My OH is not opposed to paying child support for his son, it is just how the C.S.A go about it they have lied, 'mislayed' information or not even bothered to do there job correctly resulting in arrears past and present, we have turly tried to do everything correctly which has gotten us nowhere. Just landed us more in debt through no fault of our own.

If they have lost paperwork and this has resulted in arrears then that sounds as if you have a case for maladministration, so you have done the right thing by putting in a DPA request.

Put everything in writing - I fax mine as well as post them recorded delivery  It still takes 2 days for a fax to get to someones desk  but it can take 2 weeks for a letter as they are not opened on site at the CSA (and we wonder why they lose paperwork!) They will also accept emails and these can take 3 days to be recieved (why I really dont understand but there you go!)

Keep an eye on the time and if you think that it is wrong then dont give up, because if you keep at it eventually someone comes along who can do it and sort it out for you.

It took me three months last time to get a variation of assessment for my partner, this time I have all of the paperwork together already along with a calender to get timescales from them and to keep to!!

    Good luck ;)
