Then again, if an account like that existed, we'd all have swapped over to it ages ago.
KayleighMine doesn't have charges if you are in credit and Halifax have even offered me £5 a month to change to theirs... maybe that's not what you meant though - just came in at the end of that.

Are you sure it's not because the banks aren't putting you forward for them? They much prefer you to have a "normal" bank account - they make a third of their money on fees on "free" banking."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I wasnt putting myself down, merely being honest. If you asked my DH, he would wholeheartedly agree I'm a crap wife. It doesnt mean that he doesnt love me, or me him. We've been together over 18 years, so it obviously works for us.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I dont see why some people thing its perfectly acceptable to keep putting themselves down, even if it is a 'joke'. I ahve been threr done it many a times... The more you say these things the more often you start believing them! Thats when the problem really starts. Please look/feel/think positive, if you think you really are a crap wife (or whatever) talk to your oh or someone positive/mature, you can only improve the situation...
*Safely packs soap box away for another day*Sorry Pap - I was being facetious.
It is strange how other people see you....I have so much admiration for people on here...I admire Bookie for having the courage to close the shop and move on, whilst giving so much time to other causes....Sally does so much with B, supports her husband and works darn hard at trying to maintain money/debt issues.....Snaggs copes fantastically well with bringing up 2 kids alone, dealing with the issues this brings with R's schooling, whilst doing all that she works, she has a social life and she cooks with mint.... Sammy deals with absent DH, kids, grandkids, work, stress and new kitchens.....
And you Pap, you deal with peoples changing views and opinions on you and are an absolute inspiration with your weight loss.

Ames if I can get a basic account I am sure you can. Like Z said the don't seem to advertise them, I looked online last night at halifax to open another basic account and it took me ages to find the basic one, all they had listed were accounts with fee's, overdrafts etcI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

:A:kisses3: Ah pooky
It is funny how other people see you...I would never have thought you would have said those things. I see myself not doing enough with B, when we are at home she sits in front of the TV (more than I would like her to) Id like to be more proactive with her but hey I try! As for the supporting OH...:rotfl:bless you but im sure all my moaning says quite the opposite!
You too are a true inspiration lady..coping so well with DH's illness, pushing him around, keeping his spirits up, being their for the children and trying to maintain a normal household for them despite im sure feeling great frustration and days when you would prefer to hide under the duvet.I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway.
