Hi
I have bad credit from the past, and i cant get a CC, all i have is a simple savings account with Lloyds TSB.
What i want, is a card of some sort, that i can use to buy things online, and that i can hook up to paypal etc, and use on online stores. I cant even get a current account it seems.
Where can i go? Any ideas? Any website links?
Do virgin do pre-paid cards?
Thanks
Matt :j

Have you tried a Co-op Cashminder account? I think they come with a Visa Electron and as bankrupts are able to get them, you should be able to.
If I had all the money I'd spent on drink, I'd spend it on drink.

Co-Op Cashminder offer a visa electron card
Natwest Step offers a solo card
and "mycashplush" offer a fully functional pre-paid MasterCard, ahtough you do pay £9.95 for the card, and then either £5 a month or £1 per transaction as a service fee.

i know you prob wont want to hear this but dont
dont get a card you can use online, the debt seen in my sig was 80% online buying and then the item was not used/given away
i know not very money saving was it? if you need to get one please think before you spend :j 0 -
Egg do one you can pre pay I think.
But yes, do think before you spend as it is so easy to spend in cyberspace! I just ordered over £100 worth of clothes I don;t really need, so I know what I'm talking about!! And then I found a 15 per cent discount code and its's too late to use it. It might not be right for you, and i've not used it myself, but the Cahoot Webcard might be an option, detailed by Martin here:

Does having this 'pre-pay card' help rebuild your credit rating? What's the benefits from having one? This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
Current Pay Off Target : £1500 :mad:0
