Reclaiming costs in mis-selling case

We are currently remortgaging to a repayment from an endowment - we have just been offered compensation for miss-selling, which we will accept, but it also mentions being able to reclaim any fees incurred.
The remortgage has a fee of £699 as administration and free legal work (we are switching supplier from HSBC to C & G). Is it reasonable to be able to claim this £699 - it is a 5 yr fixed rate btw.
Also, is it reasonable to ask for some recompense for personal costs incurred in switching eg postage printing and photocopying? - I was thinking of £10, should I ask more, and mention my time?
Any comments welcome.

No. Whilst some insurers will pay for the costs when an IFA/indpendent mortgage adviser are involved, I am not aware of any that would pay you or any other unregulated third party any payment.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
If you were changing with existing lender from end to repay and they charged a fee , then feel reasonable to claim back BUT the swap you did appears more based on product rate/ type than repayment methodAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0
