Meringue powder??

Hi, i am making cookies and for the icing, i need to use either raw eggs or meringue powder. Since its not safe for children (raw eggs incase of salmonella), im wanting to get meringue powder but not sure where i can get this? Does anyone know?

ive used meri white powder in the past. im sure i bought it at either tescos or sainsburys, you can buy it online but only in large amounts.

if your egg is lion stamped it should be salmonella free

Couldn't you just make up a meringue and powder it? Doesn't take long in the microwave, and it stays lovely and white, and you know what's in it!

Separate an egg very well (no egg yolk with the white or it wont work), put the egg white in a clean basin, whisk until standing in peaks, then fold in 2 oz caster sugar very gently. Line a microwaveable plate with non stick kitchen paper. Divide this mixture into about 3, divide one third into about 8 balls on the kitchen paper and microwave on full for about 1.5 minutes.

Don't put them too close together - they will probably quadruple in size!

hi,i buy egg white powder for my royal icing, i can get mine from the local tesco or sainsburys but not asda
