Well done Lynsey, you're making really good progress! Even if they're small, every card gone is one less creditor, so well done again. make sure you phone them and ask them to write and confirm that card is cancelled - they will try and convince you to keep it! Be firm!!!
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hi ali007, Halifax asked if I wanted them to confirm the cancellation in writing and I did say yes to make sure it had been done. Was told it would take up to 7 days before I received it. Just got to keep my eye out for a good 0% credit card for when September comes now.

Grocery challenge went ok this week. Managed to keep under the budget and spent £42.69. At least it's going in the right direction.:j

Although it didn't go entirely according to plan we managed to spend under the £300 a month we used to budget for shopping and last month ended up spending £255.12. This month's aim is to try and spend less than that.

As I haven't posted for a while I thought I would just mention that my attempt to spend less on shopping is going better than I thought. Although we are probably still spending more than we should on food I am actually managing to spend less than £50.00 a week. Have managed to save £30.00 of this months £50.00s and am hoping we will have a free week if I keep underspending like this which is making me more determined to achieve this. That will then be £50.00 to go towards one of our loans. :j
