if they phoned you, i think you have seven days cool off period before the agreement is enforced. contact them by phone and write. call credit card company and tell them to stop payment or put payment in dispute, credit card company should return moneys to your accounts, also contact trading standarts or consumer direct and report them, also infor cowboy company that ts are being informed. hpefully all will work out. all best.:)0

i had one DCA call me and I flipped, as I'd arranged a payment plan with them a few days before but they had phoned saying they wanted more mney.
I even made the girl cry! she put me on to her manager who tired to calm me down but she just made me more angry, in the end they wrote to me tell me that I wasn't allowed to have any phone contact with them ever again
And they never chased the £3k I owned them, this was about 2 years before my BRTotal Weight Loss - 28lb and countingAD 17/11/20100 -

Hi all,
I was going through my paperwork and found the Sterling Green payments I made and here is my conclusion from when I was with them 4 years ago.
1) They conned me in paying a setup fee of £200 and told me that this was for admin fees (Money not going into my debts) and promised me they would have the power to consolidate my debts and gave me the sell pitch of 'We can sort out your debts etc etc', but how can someone take fees from you when you are struggling to pay your debts in the first place
2) So after signing up with them they were in contact with me all the time and told me to stop paying my debts and pay them directly from which they take a percentage of my payment made to them of I think around10% and then the rest goes to the debt companies
3) Time after time I received correspondence from my debt companies asking for payment, from which I explained to them that they should have been contacted by Sterling Green, and they should contact Sterling Green to discuss my debt payments. They said they had not heard from them but have been receiving payments from them into the account I gave them, which is the same thing I was doing but the difference is Sterling Green was paying them less
4) I kept contacting Sterling Green asking them to call the companies directly as they were threatening action, but Sterling Green were totally uninterested in helping me and were more concerned that I was going to continue paying them, (They know I have no choice and have me in a corner)
5) After about a year of struggling I was informed by Sterling Green that their percentage of fees were to increase from the payment I made them!!! which meant even less money going to my debts... I mean !!!!!! I am trying to pay my debts not Sterling Green
6) In the end I stopped paying Sterling Green as they were not helping me and made me accumalte more debt and in the end I just had more debt to pay
7) I don't think I have any leg to stand on and have no idea if I could get my money back as I could not afford to ask someone for help.
Anyway, I have been lucky to find Payplan to suit my needs as all the money I pay them go into my debts and no money I pay goes to them, they have honestly saved my family from going into Bankrupcy as they actively contacted all the companies concerned and sorted them our properly
Thanks again to Payplan0
