Is there any way to obtain further compensation for mis-selling once you have accepted a settlement sum?

In a word, no.
The redress is intended to enable you to switch over to a repayment mortgage equal to the amount it would have been at that time if it had been a repayment mortgage all along.
If you chose not to do so then you will be deemed to have accepted the risk at that time.
The Financial Ombudsman Service will not accept the complaint unless you can show the calculation was wrong.
You could try suing but a court would probably take a similar view and it is likely that it could be timebarred anyway.0 -

Your only option is to write a letter to yourself complaining about the choice you made. you then pass some redress from your left hand to your right hand.
No-one else is responsible for any further losses incurred if you chose to continue with the risk based option.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
