Mortgage help

Help, I'm in a hole. I have recently put an offer in on a house as I had been accepted provisionally by the Halifax for an 85% mortgage thro a broker. We had the survey done then I was told that head office had cancelled my application but did not tell me why. I dont have a perfect credit record, but having been passed provisionally I assumed I was OK. The broker said that I had minor credit issues and that it shouldn't be a problem. I then applied to RBS and Abbey and the same happened with both, I was accepted then turned down. I have now asked whether I would be accepted with a 25% deposit (10% increase) but have been turned down by everybody. The problem now is that the searches will be on my record. The offer still stands on the house but it looks like I will have to withdraw it which I really dont want to do. Will any lenders now look at me with a 25% deposit ? Could I tell a lender that previous searches were with a much lower deposit ? HELP ?
