  • Thanks for the reply Dan. Would this be the same with the disputed late payment on Barclaycard mentioned in my last post?

Sorry to go on, just really worried and after some resssurance :-(

    Thanks
  • Well it would have to be around 30 days late normally to show on your credit file so I doubt it would really cause a problem.

It also depends how the condition is writen. Does it say you have to pay off the debt on complete or does it say you have to evidence this?

I would talk to your solicitor.

  • It states I must pay off two credit cards before I take the mortgage out.

I have paid off one and the other one has £600 left on it (they were £12k in August). As you can see by the amounts it has been a major thing for me to get them down but I have just about done it. I am hoping if the bank say anything about the late payment they will look and see what I have done. I have disputed the late mark with Barclays (was 3 days late and was their fault by their own admission) but it has already updated on my credit file - which is harsh I thought.

I have spoken to my solicitor and they arent going to check, its down to me they said.

It sounds like you have little to worry about!

  • Thanks, I hope you're right! :o)

Barclaycard says £626 owing this morning, just wish the bank could see this...as I am feeling rather smug about paying nearly £12k off this year.
