can anyone who does this regularly tell me if £3 for 600g ( Asda ) is as good as it generally gets for cranberries at this time of year?

Is Lidls usually cheaper?!

I need to make 20 jars so as you can imagine its a fair whack even at these 'reduced' prices!!

  • ASDA seem to be the cheapest of the major supermarkets for cranberries. Tesco is £2 for 300g and Sainsburys is £1.89 for 300g. Morrisons is £1.49 for 250g. :j

  • Yea..I ended up getting 600g for £3 in Asda...Sainsburys sell frozen ones now a little cheaper but nothing worth going out of the way for!

2ltr of port, various spices, a few oranges and apples later I've ended up making 50 jars
