help please - orange box email?

I got this email in the post today:

Good news! You won the Gift Box prize draw and that means you're going to get a present from us. We can't tell you what it's going to be but you need to call us to arrange delivery. Our number is: 01296 717986 (We’re a company who are looking after sending out these prizes for Orange – your call will be charged at your standard network rate).

We know you've probably received an email saying that you have lost but don’t worry about that, just call us and we’ll sort your prize out for you.

You have 48 hours from the date and time of this email to contact us to claim your prize, after that we’ll have to give your prize someone else. (Sorry but those are the rules).

We look forward to hearing from you soon and getting you your prize.

I think that looks dodgy but Im not sure, they email address looks genuine. I havent won anything from Orange box yet so just had Im a loser emails.

[STRIKE]sounds dodgy to me - the main thing being they don't know your name, only your email address. Orange are a reputable company they would tell you themselves if you had won? I would forward it on to them to look at.

hmm just looked though and https://www.mando.co.uk are indeed a PR company

I suppose all you need to do is phone them, if they start asking questions other than your name and address then hang up lol

Yeah, I got the loser email too! I'm thinking it's genuine because (I'm hoping) they shouldn't know I'd entered unless they are the company running the promotion...?

It sounds genuine to me, it states in the terms and conditions that if you dont claim within 48 hours then its passed over so maybe you've been redrawn.

If you google them they do work for walkers, kelloggs to name a few and the contact details that they have given you are the same thats on there website.
