As the title says I have cooked a mushroom stroganoff in my slow cooker and just come home to find it is very watery. Is there anything I can do at this late stage?

Try some cornflour mixed in cold water or mix some butter and flour together and stir it in. Both should thicken it a bit0

If you can, take the solids out of the liquid with a slotted spoon (keep them warm in another container) and reduce the liquid down (maybe with the cornflour as mentioned) by boiling rapidly.
This is one of the reasons I *don't* like slow cookers - yes, they give you a meal with very little effort, but I find the resulting casserole/curry/chilli/whatever is never *quite* as good as doing it in the oven. Liquids don't evaporate as well, and I find the flavours don't develop quite so well.

I only have flour so I will have to try the flour and butter idea. Just giving it a little longer then i'll give it a go. Thanks. I do love my slow cooker but I know what you mean. I don't like chilli or bolognese is the SC, to me they don't taste right. Other things like soup always come out great and it is SO nice being able to come home and dinner is *almost* ready.0

Depends if you like food like paella etc but if you were going to serve it with rice you could throw the rice in and let it cook in the excess liquid. I cooked easy cook rice in mine within an hour.0

Right I went for a flour and milk paste in the end, I have just added it. I have already cooked the rice but that would have been a good idea, thanks. It already looks lots better, I have my fingers crossed it will be ok!0
