After Eights in little boxes?

It seems to be my week for questions, but hopefully someone can answer this one.

I'm putting a hamper together that needs to be sealed in a box, so space is at a premium. I bought a small box of Wilkos version of mint matchmakers, but the box was about half an inch too long for the container. Then I recalled that you used to be able to get After Eights in little boxes that held just 5.

Can you still get them, and if so, where from? Or can anyone suggest another after dinner mint type thing that is in a similar sized package?

  • im not too sure, havent seen them so far this year.
you can get the small tube of after 8 sticks, around £2 odd tho i think
  • Have a look on ebay at item number 270472506429. Only problem could be the date but depends when you are giving it and also if you think the receiver will mind. Hope this helps.

  • Superdrug sell them, I saw them today around 50p a box
  • Thank you all - my local Tesco didn't have them when I looked, but it is only a small one, so I will take a look when I'm next near an Extra.

I did wonder about repackaging some from a larger pack, and have done in the past with other things, but would prefer not to for this particular hamper. If I can't find the little boxes, I'll look out for the tubes - had forgotten about them - they're generally shorter than matchmakers if I recall, so would probably fit.

    :)
