Hi All, TOH is pregnant with our first child :beer:

So we will need a second car, We will probably both use both cars equally.

Can i use my current no claims on a second car? My Wife is a named driver on our current car?

you can only use your ncd on one car , some companys say they offer a second car discount but ive never found a reasonably priced one .

So it will probably be cheaper getting new qoutes in my name and her name on our second car then?

Some companies offer to match NCD.
I think direct line do it.
However it's not transfereable, so make sure you are clear on that with any "deals".

Ask your current insurer if they can consider an intro based on your claim free years.

Depending on the vehicle some insurers will allow a woman to copy her "husbands"onto a second vehicle if she is to be the main driver and it is a smallish car - certainly Privilege & Direct Line used to before they introduced the second car discount (which isnt as large a discount as a 5year NCD). Certainly worth asking around.
