Peg Perego PEG PEREGO Santa Fe Loco 6v TrainRide on Train (ages 3+)

Saw these back at our local Walmart last night for £50 - fantastic toy and great value for money if you can find one. Shelf edge says were £79.99, now £50 but I know they are still going for far more than that on EBay and some toy web sites.

Looks good... don't think there's any Walmarts anywhere near me though... ;)

My parents bought my daughter one of these from asda about 18 months ago for the same price, she still gets good use out of it (loves it)! She will be 3 in july, so its suitable for 18 month plus I think the box says recomended age is 2+. You can also buy extra track to make a figure of eight, cheapest I could find the track was in ELC at £50 so never bothered to buy it.

I have one of these but find my boys tend to lean a little when riding it and quite often topple off! The centre of gravity seems a bit high especially when on the tracks. My 3 1/2 year old now uses it without the track and finds it much more stable. Still a great buy at £50 (I spent a lot more than this). You do need quite a lot of space to use it. I tried it on the grass but found it was not flat enough and it kept stopping.

    Great find.

I'm suspecting the OP means Asda?
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!

You can get G-scale sets which go around the garden, and are about the size of model village railways - but we are talking expensive I think.....have a look at this which I just Googled up - I only mention this in case anyone is fired with enthusiasm!
