Bertolli pesto only 47p at Tesco. Must be a wrong price!

Was in Tesco yesterday afternoon and saw Bertolli pesto sauce on the shelf at 47p a jar! Both the red and the green pesto had shelf labels for 47p (normal white ones not yellow offer or reduced ones) All the other pestos, including Tescos own, are much more than this.
I got half a dozen
This is usually in the region of £2 a jar so I suspect there may be something gone wrong with the pricing on this so if you like pesto go grab some of these as soon as you can. It is a cracking price for a very good quality pesto.

Someone mentioned this last week. I'll be dropping by later on today as they don't do the Tesco Value one in our local lately and this is better value still!0

thanks, got 4 jars today!0

I might pop in tomorrow and have a look. I've never tried pasto (and want to) but can never justify spending around £2 on something I might not like. Thanks!Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Ive never tried it either, what do you do with it?0

Add it to pasta sauces or just add a couple of spoons to hot cooked pasta - the green one is made from basil, parmesan, olive oiland pine nuts and the red one has sun dried tomatoes
If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!

Also good for pizza bases instead of tomato sauce, on vegetables, jacket potato with cottage cheese, chicken sandwiches, over chicken before grilling... the world is your pesto...Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

Our local doesn't seem to stock it unfortunately. I wondered how I could have missed it when I was looking for pesto last week and gave up because none was on offer.
