Hello
Brrrrrr - cold and windy here. Sadly no funky socks on as am at work and might frighten my boss!
Hugs to all poorlies, and those with difficult days and good luck with interviews and exciting things
:jHave checked bank - all as expected but moved some odd p's to my paying off things savings account, builds up nicely and I don't miss the odd p - if you get my drift!
:jHave paid balance on weekend away with DS's which I have been saving for - thanks to this thread I have been able to do that , in the past a month before Christmas it would have been impossible!
:jBought some little items I needed to finish off god daughters' presents - now finished and cost very little.
:jContemplating baking for school fair later - tempted to buy new tin but have managed to resist ( did visit the lakeland site though - oh dear, such temptation for a born again baker)
:jNow must concentrate on work again so signing off
Bye for now
Belle

I have :
Closed a credit card that I've paid off (and kept paid off for two months). Down to two credit cards to pay off!
Done another income and expenditure list and found I can pay more off each month if I stop the silly food and eating out spends. Just need to get boyfriend on board with that plan....
This weekend reorganised the freezer and am listing the cupboards tonight to try and complete one of the challenges on the OS board, and see if I can keep my grocery spend under £25 this month (unlikely but worth a shot!)0 -
Hey everyone, it's only 3.30pm and nearly dark already. I've not been at work today, been feeling grotty and didn't sleep last night. Managed to get a few hrs in after calling sick for work. I really just want to crawl back into bed but have college this evening. I'm due to give a 30 min micro-teaching session to the rest of the wannabe teachers in my class and so if I don't go in, then it looks like I am wimping out. So I have to go in. Hopefully I'll be able to do mine first and then go after... anyhow, no exciting socks for me today... maybe russian dolls tomorrow though!
So, today I:- have checked online banking
- made a teeny tiny PAD to a cc
- will pay cash into ATM on way back from college
- will post off some moany letters and let's see if I get any freebies!
Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -

lolly well done to you on your first MSE week (and excellent that the non-smoking is still going strong)
Crawley girl - hugs poor you - goodluck later on but try and rest!!
YB - I know what you mean about baking tins - I am very partial - now I am naughty and get occasionally ones I see in the charity shops!! (although I drool when I look at lakeland online) and I don't even like cakes!!:rotfl:(I keep my boss at bay with my silly socks - he finds it a bit disturbing !!!!) (missing your normal purple text though......;))
