am sure i read yesterday you could send them to a tesco head office if your store refused them and they will send u a gift card for £5......... sure someone will confirm.

I think we should just accept that not all competitor coupons are taken if people keep complaining they will stop taking them altogether we know the bar coded ones will be taken none bar coded seem to vary which is annoying but having these coupons taken is not a right lets just be grateful some are taken

Hi I would get on to customer services as it is part of Tescos ' policy to take conditional spend vouchers from competitors. I have used lidl ones on numerous occasions . I also use the farmfood ones no problem too. I did initially have problems with them being accepted but once I got on to customer services, they contacted the store manager who no doubt made his staff aware. shrewdalx

I rang Head Office this morning as my store had refused a coupon. They said that it is national policy to accept other stores conditional spend coupons (providing the terms on that coupon have been met). However they also said it is ultimately down to each store manager whether or not they accept them. I asked if I could send the coupon to head office & they said no.

Wish I'd done my shopping at Asda's instead as I had actually gone out of my way to do my weekend shop at Tescos because of the coupon as a similar one had been accepted before. Tesco's "national" policy is as clear as mud & unfair. They should make a decision either way to avoid the ridiculous situation of 2 stores in the same area having different "national policies".
