Is this part time job dodgy?

I'm looking for a second job and saw this in my local paper and it looks ideal:

Part time marketing assistant required to develop business opportunities for a small local busienss nurturing existing contacts and developing new within the construction industry. Working from home you will possess an excellent telephone manner and will be self motivated. For an average of four hours per week, we are offering a package amounting to £25 per hour including performance related bonues. For more details ring ......

Is this going to be something dodgy? I've not rung them yet, but don't want to be taken for a mug!

  • £25 per hour is absolute top whack if you hit the performance related targets.

A phone call is worthwhile just to see what it's about - and if the right person isn't there, then get them to phone you back !!! (costs you even less then)

Could be cold calling for double glazing to me! It might also just be calling their list of previous clients and asking about follow-up work. 4hrs a week sounds very low though (ie. why don't they need the person to work more?). No harm in calling though.

Remember, if they ask you to pay for the calls or phone lists, then it's not worth it. If the product is so good, they will pay you to sell it, and not ask you to pay for the right to do it!

    Good luck
