I've just ordered 10. I thought they would make nice pressies for my childrens teachers and teaching assistants.

Thanks, OP. Just ordered one in lilac to go in MIL's purple and gold Christmas basket. £2.49, 2 for £4.78.
Very tempting to buy lots but I'll wait and see what it's like.

Can someone please let me know what material these are made of?
    100% cotton? etc etc
Are they like t-shirt material in weight and feel or much lighter, like silk?

I really have no idea :o

Hi some advice would be appreciated, I bought 5 of these for £11.94 or roundabout that a few weeks ago, a nice purple 1 for myself & the other 4 as gifts, after seeing KittyKate's post I thought that would be a great idea to make them a bit nicer for pressies. I ironed mine as a trial, but it smelled a bit funny, nothing terrible it must just be the dye or the fixers or something.
I really don't want to wash them before I give them as a present, but what could I do to make them smell nicer? Would 1 of those ironing water thingy's be any good (is it obvious I don't do ironing?) if so which 1 is good or would something else be better???
    Booo!!!

My Mum uses smelly water in her iron and loves it. IIRC she uses Vaporesse.
You could wrap them in scented tissue or a light spraying of Comfort refreshing spray might work (though let it dry before folding and wrapping)

    Febreze it?

On proper looking at the pashminas they are not as great quality as I first thought - quite thin and I'm sure you could spit peas through them ;)

Although, at that price, they are ok for everyday use :)

Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.

Thanks for posting that info. I have been considering getting a couple of these since seeing this thread but if they are that thin I'll not bother.

I'll chip in, I bought some for myself off the same a couple of weeks ago and found they were fab - I'll be getting more. Lovely and cosy (I've been wearing them as a scarf)

Only problem was that I then had to get pretty leather gloves to match them...not so mse! :rotfl:
