Cupcake boxes for moving them...

Hello
Hoping that some of you have found a solution for this as google is not being my friend at the moment.
I'm baking c. 150 cupcakes for my wedding, and need an easy way of transporting them to the venue.
The frustrating thing is that I know I've seen a website that sold plain cardboard boxes that would hold 24 / 36 cakes, something like that. But all I can find now is presentation type boxes.
Has anyone bought any, and if so, where from? Or did you have a different ingenious solution for moving this number of cakes without squishing the icing?
Thanks for your help.

Would plastic boxes from the Pound shop be suitable? I am thinking about the ones that measure about 12 x 12 inches, and you could use them afterwards. Just a thought!
Good luck with your quest.

HI there, not sure where you will get the cardboard ones, but our poundland sells the plastic clip lock ones that will hold a few each, they sometimes have two or three in a pack for £1. Have you tried Ebay? Go to cupcakeboxesuk.com, scroll down the page until you see pink boxes that hold 12 cupcakes. (there maybe ones that told 24/36 too) I bought these recently because I made some for my daughters 18th birthday, the cakes fit in really well and the boxes are really sturdy. I've put mine away as they are reusable if you take care of them.
I hope this helps.***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0 -

Go to your local geengrocer!! Or supermarket etc - ask for the boxes salad comes in, I transported 100 cupcakes for a friends wedding in a combination of an old drawer (lined with silicone paper) and boxes that cress had been delivered in. All free!0

Now that is an idea that I like!

I did 100 cupcakes for a friends wedding, baked them two days before and iced them the day before, then used blue plastic trays from veg deliveries at work! (free coz they get thrown away!) packed them really carefully and wrapped the entire tray in reems of cling film!! Then drove at a snails pace to the venue in case I had to stop suddenly!!"Normal is not something to aspire to - it is something to get away from" - Jodie Foster0 -
this site might be useful, they have a large range of cupcake boxes. If you scroll down the page you will see ones that would suit you. http://www.sugarcraft.com/catalog/misc/cupcakes/bakingcups.htm hope that helped.
