What do I wear?

I am planning on what I would call work wear, dh will be in trousers and a shirt, and I will be in smart black trousers and a nice top.

Nothing to draw attention to ourselves

There is no right or wrong for what to wear. it is a BR hearing not a wedding/funeral. Nobody will have the slightest interest in what you are wearing and there is certainly NOTHING wrong with a fog-horn Lil wearing a shell suit and flip-flops with the mouth the size of the channel tunnel with her papers struffed in a tesco carrier bag telling anyone who would acknowledge her existence why she was in court for the day! Every one is equal in a bankruptcy court. (OK I might draw the line at an ASDA bag)

Of course, if you are going to a bankruptcy hearing you would have a lot of expensive jewelry locked away in your safe at home with all your other valuables ? ? ?

It's not about equality, it's about dressing appropriately. I'm no snob but I was not her equal.

I went in black trousers, blouse and light raincoat, rolex and designer handbag - I don't have any other kind as my mother very kindly buys me one nearly every birthday.

my hearing was on a wednesday...I only wear a blouse at weekends....


however, if a gentleman...for heaven's sake check your fly zip before spending 35 minutes sat in front of a dozen female Court clerks.........
