I posted my letter yesterday, gave them 7 days to reply and I sent it recorded so I know which day they get it. Hopefully they will accept my offer and then its all over and done with so I can be debt free lol.

Just reread my last post. I gave them just over a week to reply, not 7 days.
Ive received a letter today, I thought it would be a rejection or something but it turned out it was an "appointment notice".
It said "We have been informed by our local representative that despite attempts to visit your property no discussion has taken place regarding repayment of your account."
And also lowered the instalment payment by £5 (?? lol)
Now I know no one has been out lol, as we have hardly gone anywhere due to having no money at the minute. And I know they cant just turn up without my permission.
The letter is also dated 23rd which its now the 1st so it took a while to get here thats for sure!Weight loss November 09-January 10: [STRIKE]13lbs[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]20lbs[/STRIKE] 27lbs! :j0 -

Standard Moorcroft 'tactics', honey - don't let it worry you, or detract you from your letter.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Hi, can someone help me please.
I've received a letter from Moorcroft.
Its only a couple of lines and I dont really understand.
"Further to your recent correspondence, I write to confirm we are no longer dealing on the above account. Please forward all further queries and payments direct to our client."

It means, honey, that they will no longer be chasing or harassing you for payment.
It is about as close as Moorcroft will ever come to admitting that they are in the wrong.
Do nothing until, or unless, you hear from either the original creditor, or any other Debt Collection Agency.

Thanks rog. I really didnt understand what they meant.
So is it likely that they dont have the original credit agreement thingy that is needed to chase the debt? I'll be kicking myself if that is the case as I have paid over £1600.
I was very confused with the letter and wondered why they would want to pass it on since Im wanting to settle. Im not saying I dont want to pay, just let me settle lol. But by what you say I will sit on it (not literally
) and see what happens next.

Just wanted to ask: does this mean there will be more charges added to the amount? As I really dont want more adding on and this wasnt my idea to send it off somewhere else! I still dont understand their reasons for passing it on to someone else when I hadnt sent a CCA request or anything, just a F&F settlement offer!
Im also wanting to request a statement of payments received and amount now due since Im not sure if they will have added the last payment of £15, is there a template letter for this? And would they give it since they have sent the account off elsewhere?Weight loss November 09-January 10: [STRIKE]13lbs[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]20lbs[/STRIKE] 27lbs! :j0
