Banbridge Chronicle Archives

Does anyone know if it is possible to see old copies of The Banbridge Chronicle? I've tried looking at their website but there doesn't seem to be an archive section. I would be interested in the years around 1900 - do you have to pay to see them? Just had a thought - could they be on microfiche in Banbridge Library?

most libraries will carry them on microfilm - so definitely worth ringing them.MFW 148 - Mortgage £121,000 1Jan11 / Mortgage £120,300 28Jan11 / £119,808 24Feb11 / £119,400 22 April11 / £119,089 29 May11 / £118,500 October110

I would assume the newspaper themselves would have copies dating back to their beginnings, however they probably don't let the general public see them for fear of damage to the old paper. Still, you could give them a call or email:
Telephone: 028 4066 2322
Editorial: 028 4062 1991
Fax: 028 4062 4397
General Enquiries: info@banbridgechronicle.com
Or as thrifty suggests, you could try contacting Banbridge Library
Telephone: 028 4062 3973
Email: banbridgelibrary@librariesni.org.uk
Hope you find what you're looking for0 -

Hope this helps!0 -
