Slippers for older 'problem' feet

Hi

I am looking for a pair of slippers for my mum. She suffers with sore feet, corns etc and has been wearing the same pair of slippers for years. They are literally falling apart.

It is so difficult to find a comfortable pair. I wondered if there was any people could recommend?

I don't even know what brands are good to look out for. Is the new 'memory foam' insole a good idea?

Would love some advice so I can surprise my mum for xmas.

Would your mum like some nice furry soft zip-up ones? I seem to recall seeing some in Primark not long ago. Marks and Spencer do some nice "slipper boots", both long and short, and they have some nice comfy-looking ones in BHS.

My thought is that some fairly soft slippers would have to be more giving and therefore more comfy. The memory foam insole would be very comfy, but then if you get the stiff slippers she might still get her feet rubbed on the sides.

What really worries me is that I have been looking at these thinking how comfy they look, am I really that old!!

yeah maybe memory foam slippers would be good, i saw some for £15 in t.j.huges a few weeks ago, they look really comfortable and i bet memory foam slippers are much better quality then just average ones
