I always knew that they'd get the unpopular stuff in as soon as possible but didn't think it'd be quite this fast!
No details of what they intend to cut and/or tax either.....

Good, there's too much uncertainty of where we are at the moment and Gordon is never going to tell us the truth. The sooner we get some idea of what state the country is really in the better.0

without the detail it comes across a bit like scaremongering - to be expected from little David to gain his political points0 -
            Wont happen,
Labour will probably pass some law banning 'emergency budgets'.
Worst this is, I wouldnt put it past them.0 -

Do you really think that 'I'm just like you' WebCam and Crooked George are going to be any better?
I'm not hearing an awful lot of policy coming out of their mouths at the moment, and the stuff that they have talked about doesn't exactly inspire confidence.0 -

True, however I'd expect Cameron will be quick to tell us what is wrong so that he can blame future problems on Gordon and his band of merry men. Better that then denial of any problems at all like we have at the moment.0 -
If 'call me Dave' Dave doesn't take the necessary action, it'll be the IMF. He'll have to deal with Clown's 'scorched earth' legacy of course.
As a start, all housing benefits should be restricted to those over 21. Effective in 6 months.
All cash benefits limited to UK passport holders domiciled in the UK. No more ££ millions in child benefits being paid in Poland!
He should also announce an 'austerity Olympics', bare minimum of everything that can be cut back.
Cancelling of ID card, Connecting for Health and all the other intrusive, wasteful IT projects that lavish money on consultants
Cameron needs to get the SFO/London City Police to investigating a good few bankers under the Companies Act. That'll be a wake-up call.0 -
Seems obvious really. New boss blames old boss for past mistakes. Clears things up with an 'emergency' budget. Hopefully the problems get fixed and he aims to win another election.
It's a trick all new managers employ, if they have read the "how to succeed in management" book.
The answers we are waiting for is how painful is it going to be?0 -
It's exactly what I would do, and what a lot of companies do.
Allows you to blame (quite rightly in some examples) the outgoing administration, so stops you getting the blame for existing policies at a later date. Labour didn't seem t odo this, they complined about a fair few policies, which are still going today, even though they still complain about them as tory policies. (Right to buy being one).0 -

I'm expecting it to be brutal and quick.
No mercy with the aim for it to be mostly sorted within 2-3 years. Expecting 4 millions unemployed.0 -
i am voting bnp, i have lived under a tory government, i have no wish to ever again. at least a vote for bnp takes it away from labour and tory. if cameron gets in we poor and middle class will suffer the most, i have not done bad under the labour government, but i wont vote for labour as that is a vote for cameron, and they are no good for the likes of me. they just make the rich richer0
