Recycle old computer components

Options
Hi all

I have a load of old computer components like motherboards and cases and CRT monitors that I no longer need.

Is there anywhere (in London) that I can take them, maybe a scrappy that might be able to give me even a little bit of money for them? I have tried eBay a couple of times, it seems nobody wants them!

Being a uni student, I'd like to have a little extra money over the xmas period - so I thought I'd have a little clear out and found a whole load of bits I probably won't use again, and could do with the cash!

Any information would be gratefully received :-)

Thanks in advance!!!

Can you either PM me or post here a list of what you have got, I may be interested in the PC bits (but not the monitors). Thanks.
  • In case anyone else is interested in what bits are available:

    - 2x CD-ROM (not writers) drives, both 52x read speed
    - 2x ATX PSU's - 1 is 400w and has 6 molex connectors, 2 floppy drive connectors, and 1 ATX motherboard connection, the other is 250w and has 5 molex connectors, 1 floppy connector, 1 ATX motherboard connector and 1 SATA drive connector
    - 1x Brand new Belkin Desktop PCI Ethernet card
    - 1x Adaptec SCSI Host Controller PCI card
    - 1x SiS 315e 64MB AGP graphics card
    - 1x 4 port USB 2.0 PCI Expansion card
    - 1x 56k dialup modem

    Ta!

No one will buy CRT monitors off you anymore - you could possibly try and donate them to charity to go out to Affrica but even they are getting choosy now!

Best bet is take them to your local tip / recycling centre. They should have a special container to put them in - never put them in normal refuse as they are technically classed as hazadous waste.
