Okay I have to admit I spend far too much time on this site! I have far too much on my Xmas to do list and I keep finding more and more that I want to make.
Okay confession time over ...
Anyhoo, I have seen on this thread that phantom_zone made some beautiful HM crackers. Now I have scouted ebay and found the cracker cases, now I am just thinking what to put in them. I'll make 4, one for me, OH, mum and dad.
So my question is, what would you put in them? Perfume samples? Jewellery? Chocolate?

Me & my Mum make HM crakers every year. We get the kit of 6 make-your-own from Poundland. We filled them with little novelties; keyrings, etc. Last year my mum put a scratch card in each, which was good fun!0

Candy Whistles? I mean c'mon...a toy *and* sweets in one??!
cosmetic samples should be dead easy to pick up at this time of year,
what about making up a quiz to play after dinner...each cracker contains 5 questions? could be general knowledge, embarrassing, family stories etc..
Tea temples to add a bit of fancyness to your cuppa after dinner?
I actually bought way way too many individual Kendal Mint Cakes so if you want a few sent your way FOC, PM me an address!

Fun but think of the noise!!! Reminds me of 'Toot Sweets' from 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' - the lollies that you can whistle. You can get them from sweet shops too.
You can get qwirky gifts to suit each person from Hawkins Bazaar, OP.I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
i'm gonna try hm crackers this year too and was thinking of combining them with the pots of gold idea-so people would open them and get a scratchcard and a few gold sweets/coins etc. Do scratchcards have a use-buy date? I'd like to buy them soon so that I can make the crackers up but didn't know if they expired after a certain time?Weight loss 2015: -4lbs January (thanks flu):wall:

yea...you've only a certain period for scratchcards...usually 6-9 months or so ( depends on the card, you can check the lottery site! )
