You can add anything to it, it really doesn't make much difference. The only thing that didn't really work was mars bars because the melted chocolate was too hot so it just melted lol.Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0

Do you think rocky road would taste okay if I used either twirls or flakes to melt, m&m's and marshmallows?
I am trying to make the dish for someone following a wheat/gluten free diet and cannot find any biscuits that are gluten free. However I have found the above to be fine. (i hope, if anyone can tell me different feel free!)0 -
I don't see why not... but that would be rather expensive to just used melted twirls or flakes... Aren't there any gluten free big/slabs of chocolate??
Have anyone got any ideas for me? I don't like digestive biscuits...Trying hard to money save....0 -
if you look in the supermarket they usually have a gluten free range0

Variation on a similar theme - dark chocolate, crushed amaretti biscuits and very very crushed clear mints - makes a lovely after-dinner poshy type biscuity thing.
The Nigella rocky road recipe is good though - have used that one a fair few times in the past.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Novice cook!!
I made mine today and it was all great. My only problem was that when I took it out of the baking tray parts of it fell apart. Most parts!!! Did I do something wrong? Should I have greased the dish first? I took it out of the fridge and immediately took it out of the dish, should I have let it warm up a bit first?
Confused! I really want to be able to get this right as I'm hoping to use it for presents .0 -
Hi
I really want to make this for some presents but would they keep for a week or two or would they have to be eaten within a few days?
Thanks0 -
I made this a few weeks ago using an online recipe I found with maltesers, ginger biscuits and choc chips in it
was lush!

were the bits that fell off coated in chocolate?
you need enough chocolate to bind it and mix it well so there are no dry bits left.
If the chocolate bits crumbled you may possible of overheated the chocolate.0 -

it will keep but you may find that chocolate bloom developes(that white film that takes the gloss off it)
you can avoid this by tempering the chocolate but thats a bit of a faff.
just make it as close as possible to giving it.0
