personal loan question

Hi all

I have debts of £35k and need to consolidate as i am totally out of control due to the number of different creditors etc.

I have been put off the secured loan thing. So I'm thinking of personal loans - but I have read that you can only borrow up to 25k. Is this in total per person or within one loan? Can I get 25k with one lender and 10k with another?

25k is the most you can borrow in one loan. Nothing to stop you applying for two seperate loans to make up 35k, but I would have thought it highly unlikely that your be approved for both, esp if you currently have 35k of debt.

How are your current debts structured, Credit cards?

What is your credit rating like?

my debts are all over the place - two ODs, one credit card and then loans - hence I want to get them all in one or two places with lower APRs.

My credit rating was escellent (999) last time I checked which was May time. I haven't had any alerts from experian to say there have been any significant changes 9but I may no longer be registered. I tried to check it again tonight but there was a problem and it wouldn't let me do it. Would it make a difference if the new loans were put in my fiancees name?
