I agree with the maxi cosi being hard wearing as we've had three of them in the past.... the cabrio, the cabrio fix and the tobi.
All three have been excellent during their time in use and I found it difficult to think away from maxi-cosi.
Initially, we were looking at the rodi XR quite seriously as the step up from the tobi but the non-iso mounting was disappointing; hence, the search for an alternative! The fact that the rodis' were going at about £66ish at the glasgowpramcentre didn't help either
In any case, the cybex was delivered this evening a day earlier than said so see how it goes! 0 -
a quick feedback on the Cybex X-fix.....
- looks great
- reasonably easy to dock/undock from the ISO clips in the car
- our little one likes being seated while awake
then it's down hill from there
- the minute he falls asleep he looks as if he's being hung from the collar
- we've tried various adjustments but as soon as he falls asleep it neither feels safe nor comfortable.
- he now wants to go back to his old seat (maxi cosi tobi) in which his little sister looks far more comfortable than him ;-(
Conclusion: strongly believe the Cybex X-fix is not designed with children under 4 in mind even though they fit the weight/height group.Older the children the better!!! Wish I had gone for something as we had forked out a lot of money for little or no practicality.0 -
Came in the top group for safety a couple of years ago in which magazine as the britx evolva ultra.
We have two it is big, light enough to move and lasts up until 12. has a recliner function that enables our daughter to sleep comfortably!
A cracking bargain fitted our daughter from about 10 months!
On offer in various colours robbie, etc for around £120. We have had the first one for two years and it is stil well padded, and has only needed washing once and all the covers come off!
Gets 5 stars from me!:beer:Waddle you do eh?0
