Has anybody ever made apple pasties? I've got some shortcrust pastry and I thought I could make them as a sweet treat...Thoughts?
Should I cook the apples first or bung them in raw?
And how long should I cook them in the oven for?
And at what temp?
Sorry for so many questions....:o

Never made pasties but have done pies. I cook the apples first before putting it together when it's ready for oven I put it on 180 (fan assisted) for about 30-40minutes until nice and golden.
Look at the grocery thread (sticky at top) about post 3 there is loads of recipes I'm sure there will be an apple pasties one.0 -
Make sure you seal the edges well and make an air vent at the top. I often make these and they are lovely.
Sometimes just chuck a few raisins in and/or cinnamon or whatever to ring the changes.0
