Credit File - query with linked address - possibly for mortgage application

I recently checked my credit file for the first time and there is an address linked to me that neither I nor my husband have any association with.
I have reported this to credit Expert and they have said that:
Linked addresses are created in several ways.
- When a company moves an account from one address to another.
- When a company searches your credit report at more than one address during an application.
- From information you have given to us.
You (or someone you have had a financial connection with) should have had a financial connection to an address for it to appear on your report. You do not have to have lived at the address for it to appear.
I do not know what the source company is but it looks like it could be to do with our mortgage application. But I still dont understand what the association is with this address - its a hotel address on the same road I once lived!
Anyway, I have asked for confirmation of the source and am waiting for a reply, but any other advise would be welcomed! The linked address is not bringing up anything negative, so should I worry about this?

Wikipedia explain the term 'Garbage In Garbage Out'. It is only after personally viewing your credit reports that you can see the factual mistakes, in the information.
