Hi, I don't have any myself but would think that if your G/F has asked for the "plain brown ones" She would probably mean the UGG classic short, in Chesnut. Short are more practical and more typical of the UGG style. IMO
Check out the UGG Australia website for a picture.

(I hope this link works but if not do a search!)

Yeah I think she would have said long uggs if that was what she wanted. The short pair are the original style (and most flattering imo -I have a pair). Just make sure you are buying real uggs if you buy them online as there are a lot of really good fakes out there but who wants to pay even £60 for a fake pair?:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0

Even if they were genuine Ugg australia for £60, i cant fathom why someone would pay so much for them....0 -

Well I had mine bought for me & presents are meant to be frivolous aren't they? I don't think I could justify spending the amount they cost on myself but I do love them!!:j
However, they are the most comfy boots I have ever had, they look great (imo not everybody thinks so) & I have worn mine loads and loads & they aren't showing any signs of wear & tear.:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
I think the long ones are much nicer & much more flattering, they can also be turned over to shorten. I think the short ones can make legs look shorter/dumpy.
OP when she says plain brown does she mean the chestnut colour?
Martins email had info about the cheapests uggs, I think the long ones were £150 (with a voucher code).0 -
I spoke to her mum earlier and she thinks the long ones are the way forward. Im not a fashion man but she wants to tuck her jeans into em or wear with a denim skirt and black tights and im not sure looking at the short nes they will do this?? She doesnt know Im getting them or else I wouldnt be asking on here

Study this thread carefully and make sure you don't get fooled with fakes, the users in this thread are experts in fakes and will be able to guide you with styles as well.

This is the details for the £150 long uggs.
She will def need the long ones to wear with a skirt.

why don't you just ask her? Surprises are not all they are cracked up to be. Surprise her with a smaller additional gift and get the right UGGs, also make sure of her size. I haven't got (and don't want) any so I don't know if they measure true to size and what they are like width wise for those with wide or narrow feet.
Perhaps you could give her a voucher (I O U UGGS) on the day so she can go to a shop and choose?0 -

I would agree this is the way forward. I got the idea that she already knew you were treating her, so I would ask, especially as they cost a lot of money- you want to get it right!
My personal opinion is that the longer ones are a lot easier to tuck into jeans and as already mentioned, look better with skirts. I'd also assume by plain brown she meant the chestnuts ones, but probably best to check that too as plain brown can mean different things to different people.
Good luck and I am wishing you were my boyfriend right now :rotfl:0
