Energy Efficiency and House Prices

I came upon this publication today, it may or may not help some people.

Whether it's energy effecient light bulbs, A rated appliances, condensing boilers or sustainable energy solutions, it seems it's not just a fuel saving consideration but an investment.

On a similar note, I read somewhere a while back that houses might be given energy efficiency ratings in future based on an expert survey. As a tenant I'd find this really helpful in choosing a house as it's incredibly annoying to be paying huge bills for energy that escapes through the roof or is wasted by the inefficient fridge, without having any control over it (and of course there's no incentive on the landlord to do anything).

Does anyone know anything about this?
