I am very cross about some people's attitude towards the current water shortage. My neighbours have been out all day and left a housepipe and sprinkler running. We are in a Thames Water area - hence there is a ban.
Well I hope you've reported them.

Another showering tip... what about using leave-in conditioner to save having to rinse?

I have also found a very useful gadget which replaces the nozzle on the basin taps and produces a fine spray of water ...saving up to 70%.http://www.tapmagic.co.uk/index.html again this is cheap and easy to fit.

Just looked at that website and think I'll order from them.

    I liked their quote

    “WHEN THE WELL IS DRY,
WE ALL KNOW THE WORTH OF WATER”

It's a tricky one. As they're on the end of the road, I'm probably the only who could know about the sprinkler, and they're a bit scary. I think they could make my life quite difficult if they thought I'd reported them. Think I will have to find a way of introducing it gently into a conversation so that I seem helpful and concerned rather than having a go at them.

I've heard stories of helicopters flying around (!) to look for people using hosepipes, so perhaps you can blame it on one of those!

    Hi

I have just bought a diverter from https://www.watertwo.co.uk via eBay, it diverts bath and shower water to a water butt. Cost £30.

Having kids we use quite alot of bath water, so this will help us get a second use.

I've read about this too, they look for lush green lawns etc, comparied with their neighbours brown dry lawns. (Not as daft as it sounds)
