Don't buy your electrical appliances from the Kitchen company!

Options
I recently had a new kitchen installed in my home and learnt much more than I expected from the whole experience!

I'm sure it's something you've all realised before but Kitchen companies will bully you and try to rip you off when it comes to the electrical appliances! I had quotes from three seperate companies - one national, two local and they all acted in exactly the same way. Their attitude could even be taken as arrogant. I wanted to price the appliances seperately from the actual kitchen, which initially they wouldn't do. When they did and I had the quotes to look elsewhere I was really shocked by their prices.

I went to three electrical stores and they were all several hundred pounds cheaper. I evntually went with Dalzell's in Markethill as they were the cheapest - £430 cheaper! Had the stuff in stock and on show to look at (unlike the kitchen companies) and were simply very helpful.

What I also learned was that some electrical retailers are as bad as airlines when it comes to additional charges; delivery, packaging removal and old appliance collection. I understand they have to make money but when your spending alot of money you want some service!

Dalzell's of Markethill were the only company that would do this for free, are they the only electrical retailer left that believes in customer satisfaction? Anyway that's my thoughts. I only heard about these guys from a friend as I live in Belfast and thought I'd let you all know. Here's their details Armagh Electrical.com

Kitchens lovely by the way, really pleased.
