in It's gone, but was it any good?
Went to Maplin to buy a few things for Xmas, and found this plasma ball:

    Me neither. Looks like £19.99 to me.

    I have a nearly 9 year old with special needs and this would be just perfect for her but we are not near a Maplin. Would love the play.com link if you have it.

    Postage is only £2.99 from Maplin online, still a good deal at £13.

    I had one of these as a kid and if I remember you can put one hand on the " nebular " ( plasma ball ) and hold a flourecent tube in the other and it will light up !!! Hold the tube half way and only half lights up !!
