Volume house builders really aren't all that good IMO.

I've been looking at a few new build options. I'm not a fan of new build - I'd rather wait for an area to settle down and see how it turns out.
One thing I've noticed is that the site layouts always have a few obvious mistakes on them. It strikes me as slightly shoddy really.
This one is great though:

Click on "Development Plan" and then look at plot 226 and tell me how those parking spaces are supposed to work.

They don't work.
In addition I always love the way new developments tend to have narrow roads but with one parking space per household.
Now some households have 2 cars and there are always random visitors, delivery men or removals so having a couple of extra parking spaces is a good idea.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

I was reading the planning documents for a development recently and the local council will allow a maximum of 1.5 parking spaces per dwelling. It will allow 2 in exceptional circumstances (where on road parking is already under pressure).Happy chappy0

I think 221 might be a "coach house" style, with an archway going under it, leading to the parking for that row.0

I know somebody who is just buying a new build. Their plot has 2 parking spaces on the deeds - most of the estate is empty so far. Went up there a couple of weeks back and some !!!!!!'s using one of their numbered spaces. I think they are forced to. I think the Govt density levels make them have to pack them in, then they have to have some affordable housing, then they need to get the biggest house on each plot that they can squeeze on to get the most from each one.david29dpo wrote: »They pack um in dont they!

My opinion is that the image is simply incorrect.
Look at parking spaces 226 & 228 and the way the green area overlaps it.Happy chappy0
