Not all oily fish has a strong taste. Trout and salmon are oily and have a much more subtle flavour than mackerel, herring or sardines.

Have you tried smoked oily fish -kippers, smoked mackerel, salmon or trout? You might like that better.

Other than that I think you'll have to shell out for supplements.

    I was also thinking trout.

I dont know where else does them but waitrose will do a whole rainbw trout sliced with butter in ( eg lemon or thyme, fennel) You then just chuck their bag in the oven and its baked. Im sure it is easy as pie to do this yourself with a roll of foil! I paid about 1.70 for a fish large enough to feed 2 adults ( not a huge portion but enough with a salad etc)

You might want to remove the features if your son is squaemish. ;)

Im not a huge oily fish fan either, but trout is lovely! and doesnt taste oily at all. Slightly tricky with the bones so keep an eye.

You can also buy rainbow trout fillets, which Ive had grilled, most of the bones removed, and this is like "fish for beginners" - more expensive though to buy the fillets, and of course you get less. Again , I cant see why you cant buy a fish and fillet it with the right knife  Although Ive never done it im sure its possible! :T
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
