No, what has that go to do with you knowing all? You have an answer for everything, which is as the other poster stated, extremely aggressive in tone.

    it's not agressive at all.

just because someone doesn't like/agree with something, or perhaps THEY may be wrong???

nothing like a bit of crying bully to deflect away from the fact that they are out of their depth.

It might be agressive in tone, but Point 1 is totally correct.

LO are issued without full knowledge that the sum is a correct figure. I had a LO served against me for 25k this January. its now November, no money is owed, but even allowing for the Data Protection files they sent me, it indicates a £4,000 liability, yet its now November and they have not done a thing. It goes from office to office, with them sending out letters periodically asking the same questions.

My case closed in 2005, my daughter is 24 yet its still all up in the air. The Lo states 25,000 and its wholly inaccurate, add to that even by there own admission they have not sent out one letter since 1997 until 2008 and you can see why I have a problem.

according to some, your case would be a one off.

i know different though. i wouldn't be surprised if the above mentioned start advising you pay it "for the child" as the csa don't make errors like that and that all arrears are genuine. :o

end of the day, the long standing so called arrears are attractive for the Government. The individual old cases stand to gain them thousands, more than say the little £3-500 arrears built up over 6 months to a year.

They will try every trick in the book to get the money, imposing 2 year payment plans when this not a legal requirment and advising NRP's to take out personal loans to pay up.

Okay, some NRP's deserve such treatment, but the system does not allow for the genuine people, who have not been served right by the system. As for me, I paid personally and have the records. Yet, will it be classed as Direct payments?? No, its what they call pocket money..

I was 16 mixed up with a woman of 28 who trapped me into her having a pregnancy. Apparantly I should have paid child support from the day I was 16, until my daughter reached 19.

Thats history, but now I'm 40 and having problems with a case that closed in 2005. Since lawyers have helped me, its all going very quiet, but NRP#s without that kind of support and help, would be totally screwed.
