Tier 1 Visa valid for less than 2 years - Who can give me a mortgage?

I have been living and employed in the UK for 2 years and now looking to buy a property.
My current Visa is valid until mid 2011 and it will be extended for next 2 years before I apply for PR.
I called up Halifax, Abbey and Lloyds TSB banks and they refused me a mortgage by saying that my visa should be valid for atleast 2 years at the time of mortgage application.
Does anyone know of any lenders that can provide me a mortgage?
Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

I think you may struggle with this.

    My suggestions:
    1: A guarantor.
    2. A 50%+ deposit.
    3. A good broker.
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

Hi, I am currently on T1 Visa in the UK and are valid for further 7 months. I am buying under shared equity and mortgage was approved 75% LTV with Halifax 2 weeks ago. Our IFA was extremely good. PM me if you need further details

    Thanks,

Halifax will ignore any criteria if your credit rating is high enough!

Halifax and Nat west will accept, most need 2 years remaining on visa which is no longer possible.
