Tesco 500 Points per CD/DVD/GAME - Change to terms and conditions on original offer

I ordered 2 DVD's with the same title and one CD and expected to get 1500 points as there were no terms and conditions other that the 500 Extra Clubcard points banner.
However Tesco have change this to apply from the start of the offer. I know there are numerous MSE'rs who have ordered more than one CD/DVD of the same title. This is the email I have received this evening from Tesco:-

I'm really sorry for the confusion regarding our 500 points promotion on the website and I appreciate that you have placed 3 orders with us.

You will receive 1000 points for the 3 orders you have placed you will not received points for any duplicated title.

I have listed examples for you as of below.

1. You can order multiple promotional items of the same title but whether you add 1 or 5 items of the same title to your basket, you will only be eligible for 500 points.
2. You may add more than 1 promotional item into your basket and you will receive 500 points per item, provided they are not of the same title.
3. Adding more than 10 promotional items you will receive 500 points per item provided that all the titles are different.
4. Customers trying to purchase more than 10 promotional items of the same title will have their order cancelled.

The above t & c's have been visible for the duration of the current promotion. When did you place your order? They cannot change the t & c's retrospectively without your agreement.

Yes the terms and conditions have been clear since the latest promotion which started this week. However when I and many others ordered, (3rd Nov in my case) the promotion banner on the webpage just stated 500 free points per CD/DVD/Game no other terms and conditions were shown, I printed a screen dump to prove this.
Tesco then added some terms and conditions stating max 6 copies of the same titles last week. This has since been changed this week to the present terms and conditions.

If you ordered before the t & c's changed, then Tesco should honour the t & c's that were in place at the relevant time. I ordered on Monday and have received confirmation that I will be receiving points for each order, including one duplicate.

I can see there being big problems in February.

Just rang tesco and they said that with the pre release 500 points offer you could buy up to 6 of each title. Only the new offer is limited to 1 500 points per item (ie buy 4 , stilll get 500 points only)

But who knows what will happen in Feb

Hi dmg - I have only ordered 1 item so am obviously not worried about any possible changes to the t&c's but despite having recieved my cd I have recieved no confirmation of my extra points..how were you notified of this? Thanks!

It has been pointed out in the other threads about this that the points will be added manually in February in time to appear on that quarters statement.
It hardly inspires confidence that this will actually happen.
Tesco have proved unreliable with theses promotions with the constant changing of T&C's.
