Hi there
LAst week, I roasted some duck legs. Despite washing, soaking and other efforts, its still sticking fast to the bottom of the roasting tin. Big smoky lumps of it
I have got the roaster with some water and washing up liquid on a high hopb at the mo, as I thought that might help it, the flat stinks of burning fat, but it doesnt seem to be shifting.
Any other ideas?

My last ditch attempt is to pour (if you have it, of course!) liquid dishwashing machine liquid over it. Don't add water, just leave it over night. That has shifted some truly terrible burnt on stuff. Not particularly economical but worth it in some cases. I don't know where I heard that tip, but I tried it and it worked.
I'm sure that someone else will think of something easier/cheaper!
Good luck though.I'm not as green as I'm cabbage looking!

I forgot to tell you to put water in the tin and sit the duck on a rack on top when roasting it
Sorry, I feel terrible now:o
When I make a mess of my roasting tins.....I put a handful of soda crystals, sprinkle of bio washing powder and a kettle full og boiling water into the tin. Leave to soak for half an hour and then give it a scrub with a piece of soap filled pad.I have the mind of a criminal genius. I keep it in the freezer next to Mother....0 -
