Where do you live in the country? look up clarkes factory outlet shops, clarks shoes but cheaper*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150

so far, i have had to return my 5 and 7yr dd clarks shoes twice, (both pairs). the bonding failed on one pair, yet again lift up flap in the bottom of the daisy shoe has failed and created a ridge on two pairs, and the ridge just slipped on the last pair. (each time we buy daisy shoes were told the fault is now sorted) we have had nothing but trouble with clarks shoes, and when your paying £60-£70 for two pairs of childrens shoes, i kind of expect them to last a little longer than 3weeks!
clarks has let me down to many times now, marks and spencer has good reviews, gunna try them next time.3 wonderfull kids :female::female::male:, 1 fab hubby, 2 beautifull cats and 1 very large dog = my family!

Not cheap (infact more expensive than clarks shoes) but have you tried GEOX school shoes.
Each year my son has needed new clarks shoes at each half term. We have had the geox since start of term (september) and they still look brand new.
Sometimes you have to take the hit early on to save money in the long run! (doesnt help the crimmbo finances though!)0 -
Hi
I always buy Clarks shoes for my 2 children (4 & 7) but look out for the Clarks sales or go to their factory outlets. I recently bought a pair of Clarks boots from eBay for my DD for £14 instead of £30+ !!! They wer brand new and never worn. As long as they're brand new, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from eBay, providing you know the correct size. HTH! xx0 -
i used to buy clarks shoes but have gone off them over the years the styles for a 5 year old are awful, i got my dd a nice pair from sainsburys and they were great, this time we got her a pair from m&s and they are holding up very well so far!0

There's a online shop which sells Clarks/Startrite and a few others. I guess they are end of lines. Haven't used them myself, but have been on the mailing list for a couple of years and have looked through the site before.

Hi
I have terrible trouble finding shoes for my 10 yr old who has extremely narrow feet, we always had Clarks shoes but we are finding it more and more difficult to get his width fitting, even Clarks are failing to get any to fit him, his last 2 pairs of school shoes have been from Ecco, again they are not cheap, but they are good quality, and the only reason he has a new pair is because his feet have grown, the shoes themselves have still been looking as good as new. We find them well worth the money and will continue to get them from Ecco.
Hope this helps
